Shukino gas control station was built in 1980. For 34 years of operation, the equipment installed at this facility became obsolete and worn-out. The main problem was the impossibility to automatically synchronize the obsolete and modern equipment that resulted in the need for taking the station to the manual mode in the periods of significant rises and falls in gas consumption. Moreover, high noise level created by the gas control station intruded upon leisure of people resting in Serebryany Bor. In 2012, the decision on the facility reconstruction was made. The work was started in March 2013 and completed in May 2014.
In the course of the reconstruction a new building of the gas control station, five reduction lines, two gas metering points and an engineering centre were built. The equipment installed at the gas control station was of domestic manufacture.
ADL supplied to this facility a large portion of own-produced equipment, namely, Granval DN 400, 500, 600, 700 and 800 mm butterfly valves and Beeval steel ball valves of different diameters.
A number of large consumers are connected to Shukino GCS among which are OAO MosEnergo, CHP-16, OAO MOEK, RTS Krasnaya Presnya, Mezhdunarodnaya TPP servicing Mosow International Business Center. In addition, the station supplies gas to a number of small and medium gas distribution stations ensuring gas supply to enterprises and residential houses in the Western, North-Western and Central Federal Districts. Annual volume of gas transportation via Shukino gas control station is about four billion cubic meters that is equal to 1/6 of gas consumption volume in Moscow.
