Chita sewage treatment plant with design capacity of 100.5 thousand m3 per day hardly coped with constantly increasing sewage volumes. In this connection, a need for construction of additional facilities and reconstruction of existing ones arose.
ADL proceeded to implement this project in cooperation with ETEK scientific and production firm that developed the project and provided the technical assignment for equipment selection.
The project was focused on improvement of capacity and reliability of municipal sewage treatment facilities, increasing of degree of sewage treatment, and reduction of costs related to flocculant purchasing. The customer of the water treatment plant reconstruction was ОАО Vodokanal-Chita, ETEK Scientific and Production Company was assigned with the design and survey work, and ADL acted as the main supplier of the mixing equipment. ADL’s engineers were assigned a task to select optimal equipment for mechanical sewage mixing during the whole water treatment process. The key requirements were to ensure energy efficiency and reliability of the equipment.
Modern processes of nitrification/de-nitrification and biological treatment of wastewater can not be realized without the use of immersion mixers. In the result of cooperation of experts from ADL’s pump department, ETEK Scientific and Production Company, technologists from the water supply station and Caprari’s engineers a decision was made to install 36 mixers of two types: electric-driven horizontal mixers and horizontal mixers with CMRY planetary reducer.
